Visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, on the Occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the Border Forces of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan
On May 28, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, together with the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustam Emomali, attended the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Border Forces of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan.
As part of the event, they visited the “Poytakht” training center in the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe to review the living conditions of the Border Forces personnel. A new modern four-story building, including a dining facility and barracks for soldiers, was inaugurated during this visit.
Facilities and Purpose
The newly constructed four-story training facility features offices for officers, spacious and comfortable barracks for soldiers, a bathhouse, a utility room, storage areas for food and military clothing, an armory, and recreation rooms.
The building, designed for training junior specialists of the Border Forces, is equipped with modern devices and tools. This ensures the preparation of future specialists who will be loyal defenders of their homeland, safeguarding the state border with a strong sense of responsibility.
President’s Address and Interaction
During his tour of the facility, President Emomali Rahmon held a candid conversation with soldiers. Addressing a group of soldiers, he emphasized the need to select intelligent, patriotic, and proactive individuals, like those undergoing training, for future officer roles in military academies. He expressed confidence in their potential to become outstanding officers and commanders.
Infrastructure Development
The “Poytakht” training center has seen upgrades across its infrastructure, including computer classrooms, medical units, sports facilities, duty stations, checkpoints, and auxiliary buildings. Each room is fully furnished and equipped for soldiers’ needs.
This military facility was built per the directives of the government and the leadership of Tajikistan under modern standards, with the active involvement of local entrepreneurs. The dining facility was also equipped with modern kitchen appliances and furnished to meet all requirements.
President Rahmon emphasized the importance of high-quality food for soldiers and instructed the leadership to monitor this aspect closely.
Agricultural Contributions
At the training center, the Leader of the Nation also reviewed an exhibition of agricultural products grown in farms supporting the Border Forces. These included vegetables, fruits, grains, and canned goods.
To enrich soldiers’ meals with fresh produce, meat, and dairy, auxiliary farms under the Border Forces logistical department were established. President Rahmon called for the efficient use of farmland and encouraged increased production of eco-friendly agricultural goods, with part of the harvest reserved for the autumn-winter season.

Over the years of independence, with the initiative and special attention of the Leader of the Nation, the Border Forces material and technical base has been significantly enhanced. The National Army and its units are staffed with highly qualified and loyal personnel.

Women also actively and loyally serve in the Border Forces, demonstrating courage, honor, and patriotism.
National Security and Stability
Border Forces are a reliable pillar of the state, playing a crucial role in maintaining peace and stability, combating smugglers, preventing border violations, and ensuring the nation’s tranquility.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief urged the personnel to make the most of the provided resources, safeguard the state border, firmly uphold the independence and freedom of the Motherland, and ensure the peaceful life of the people.
